Workshop: Nucleosynthesis away from stability
Oct 7-9, 2015 - Goethe University Frankfurt - Germany

Nucleosynthesis away from stability

The workshop "Nucleosynthesis away from stability" addresses reaction rates and nucleosynthesis of radioactive species, and implications for GCE. The goal of the workshop is to document the present state of knowledge, identify key open questions, and coordinate efforts in experiments, simulations and observations.

The workshop relates experimental and theoretical activities centered around the future research facility FAIR at the Goethe University Frankfurt and the Technical University of Darmstadt. It brings together the JINA-CEE, NAVI and HIC for FAIR communities and will be preceded by the NuGrid collaboration meeting 2015 (NuGrid VII).

The workshop will take place at the Department of Physics (FB 13) of the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. It is supported by the Helmholtz International Center for FAIR (HIC for FAIR), the Nuclear Astrophysics Virtual Institute (NAVI) and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Astrophysics Center for the Evolution of the Elements (JINA-CEE).
