You depart the airport from "Flughafen Regionalbahnhof" (=regional train station) (NOT "Flughafen Fernbahnhof" (=long distance train station)) by either taking the S8 or RE3 to Mainz central station. At Mainz central station, you take the bus 68 to Castle Waldthausen.
Note: Starting from 19:59, some connections have an additional step where you take another train (RB33) from Mainz central station to Budenheim, and then the bus 68 to Castle Waldthausen from there.
The required ticket needs to be bought at a RMV ticket machine (big green box): "Einzelfahrkarte Regelpreis, Preisstufe 4, Erwachsener" (Single ticket, regular fare, price category 4, adult) for 4.95 Euro.

Check in at the guest house is possible 24/7. Except for Sunday, dinner and breakfast are included in the guest house fee. The rooms are equipped with shower, WC, TV, phone and WLAN.

We do not provide dinner for guests at the castle on Sunday. You can easily reach the restaurant "Zum Turm", only a 5 min walk away from the castle.
