At the 2.5-MV van de Graaff accelerator of Goethe University Frankfurt, we perform activation experiments to reproduce astrophysical s-process conditions. Traditionally carried out at the classical thermal energy of kBT = 25 keV, these measurements are now being extended toward both lower and higher stellar temperatures to provide improved Maxwellian-averaged cross sections across the full s-process energy range.

R3B@FAIR

R3B@FAIR

R3B (Reactions with Relativistic Radioactive Beams) experiment at FAIR focuses on nuclear structure and reactions using exotic beams.

nTOF@CERN

nTOF@CERN

n_TOF (neutron Time-Of-Flight) experiment at CERN studies neutron-induced reactions relevant for nuclear astrophysics and the s-process.
